We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your account and what happens to your data.
How to delete your account
Option 1: In the app
- Open What's for Dinner and go to the Household tab
- Tap Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account will be deleted immediately.
Option 2: By email
Send an email to privacy@robinsight.com from the email address associated with your account, requesting account deletion. We will process your request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account profile (email, name, profile picture)
- Dietary preferences and cooking skill level
- Kitchen equipment settings
- All saved recipes and recipe history
- Meal plans and shopping lists
- Household memberships
What may be retained
Anonymised, aggregate data (such as recipe popularity statistics) that cannot be linked back to you may be retained. This data helps us improve the app for everyone but contains no personal information.
Subscriptions and billing
If you have an active subscription, it will be automatically cancelled when you delete your account. Billing history is retained by Stripe as required by New Zealand tax law, but no personal account data remains in our systems.
Timeframes
- In-app deletion — your data is removed immediately
- Email requests — processed within 30 days
